My Story

Kent based nutritionist

Hi, I'm Emma-Jayne.

As a PSA-accredited Nutritional Therapist, registered member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), I’m passionate about empowering and supporting you to optimise your health and wellbeing. I’ve always been driven to solve problems and help others, with an empathetic, caring personality and the ability to listen and note the details, however small they may seem.

I know what it is like to live with a chronic inflammatory condition, experiencing a roller coaster of symptoms and wanting to feel energised and well. In the past I felt like my health was out of control and nothing I tried was working, feeling overwhelmed and lost, particularly in a world surrounded by wellness trends and gimmicks. But I learnt that it does not need to be like that.

My Story

In my early twenties, I was unexpectedly diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis - a chronic, inflammatory autoimmune condition. Navigating life with this diagnosis has been a journey filled with both challenges and learning opportunities. Along the way, I faced various hurdles, from medication side effects and fertility difficulties to navigating pregnancy, perimenopause/menopause, and managing weight gain.

Despite the many medical appointments, I was never offered any guidance around nutrition or diet. This gap sparked a deep curiosity and led me to explore the connection between food and health on my own. After my second pregnancy, I experienced a severe flare-up that resulted in several months off work. This was an incredibly difficult time - physically, emotionally, and mentally. I felt lost and uncertain about what the future might hold.

Out of desperation, I reached out to a Nutritional Therapist - and it turned out to be a life-changing decision. For the first time, I felt seen and supported. I began to understand how personalised nutrition, along with lifestyle factors like sleep and movement, could play a powerful role in managing my condition. That experience gave me back a sense of control and hope, and it marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life.

Helping others and finding solutions has always been a strong part of who I am. In 2021, I decided to leave behind a 20-year corporate career to follow my passion. I embarked on a four-year academic journey, completing a postgraduate degree in Personalised Nutrition and becoming a PSA-accredited Registered Nutritional Therapist.

Today, with a solid foundation in the science of nutrition and a personal understanding of chronic illness, my mission is to empower and educate others so that they can take charge of their health. Whether you’re managing a long-term condition or simply seeking to feel your best, I’m here to support you in making informed, sustainable choices that enhance your wellbeing and help you reach your health goals.
